Setting Up the Printer Hardware for HP Deskjet 1010 and HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1010 Printer Series

Introduction

This certificate explains how to gear up your printer hardware.

Footstep ane: Unpack the printer

1. Remove the tape and packing material from the outside of the printer.

2. Open the output tray, and then open the cartridge access door.

4. Close the cartridge access door.

• What if my printer has only 1 ink cartridge?

  If your printer is the HP Deskjet 1011 Printer, it can print with ane ink cartridge and ships with only an HP 802 Black Ink Cartridge. The data in this certificate even so applies to your printer. Step three: Connect the power cord and adapter

1. Connect the adapter cord to the rear of the printer.

Step four: Turn on the power

Press the Power button to turn on the printer.

Step five: Install the cartridges

1. Lower the output tray, and and so open the cartridge access door. The carriage moves to the middle of the printer. Wait until the carriage is idle and silent earlier you continue.

2. Remove the new cartridge from its package, and so advisedly pull on the orange tab to remove the protective plastic tape.

Step 6: Load plain paper
